Terms of Service

Using Resortings means you accept what follows.
Who you are dealing with
Resortings is operated by Resortings LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Resortings” mean Resortings LLC. Reach us through the contact form or at mirwin@resortings.com.
What Resortings is
A free, independent planning tool that scores Walt Disney World resorts, restaurants and rides so you can decide where to stay and what to do, with room alerts for every Disney resort in the US: Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani, Vero Beach and Hilton Head, and booking reminders that remind you when Disney opens dining and Lightning Lane booking for your trip. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company. Disney®, Walt Disney World®, Disneyland® and related names are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe the places we’re writing about.
Our scores are opinion
The 0–10 scores are our own judgment, formed over thirty years of visits. They aren’t objective measurements and reasonable people will disagree with some of them. Your “match” score is a weighting of those opinions against the priorities you set, not a statement that one resort is better than another. Nobody can pay to appear in our rankings.
Check before you book
Prices, wait times, menus, opening hours and attractions all change, sometimes at short notice. We source figures carefully and say where each comes from, but we can’t guarantee anything is current at the moment you read it. Confirm anything that matters with Disney directly before you spend money. We’re not liable for a booking, a purchase or a day that didn’t go how you hoped. If you find something wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.
Room alerts
An alert tells you a room was bookable when we looked. It does not hold it, reserve it, or book anything for you. Disney sells the room to whoever gets there first. We tell you what we saw and when we saw it, and the rest is up to you.
What an alert watches. An alert watches a room that is sold out and tells you when it comes back, at the price Disney is showing then.
We cannot promise to catch every opening. A room can appear and sell again before an alert can reach you. Disney can change how their site works at any time, and if alerts stop working we will tell you rather than let them go quiet.
A Room Alert is one payment. It watches one resort, one date range and every room type there until your check-in day, then stops on its own. Nothing renews. The price depends on how far away check-in is when you buy, and it is shown with your dates before you pay. Another resort, or other dates, is another alert. Room Alerts are not refundable except where the law requires it; if something on our side went wrong, tell us and we will put it right. Stripe emails you a receipt.
Monthly plans, for travel agents and anyone already on one. 1 Room Alert lets you watch 1 room at once, 3 Room Alerts 3, 10 Room Alerts 10, and 30 Room Alerts 30. For travel agents, 30 Room Alerts also adds your client’s name on each alert and an optional copy of each alert email to your client. All four include the Savings Finder, show their price on the alerts page before you pay, and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Stripe emails you a receipt each month.
Cancel any time from your alerts page. One click there takes you to our payment processor’s billing page, where you confirm it. Your alerts keep running until the end of the month you have paid for, then stop. We do not refund part of a month.
If a month of alerts did not do its job, tell us and we will refund that month. Use the contact form or email mirwin@resortings.com.
Booking reminders
A booking reminder reminds you when Disney opens dining reservations and Lightning Lane passes for your trip: by email, and by text if you give us a mobile, the night before and 5 minutes before each one opens. We work the dates and times out from Disney’s published rules. Disney can change those rules, open early or late, or run out, and a reminder does not reserve or book anything. Check Disney’s own site for anything that matters.
One trip is free in any 12 months. A pass adds more trips: 3 or 10 for 12 months, one payment, no renewal, with the price shown before you pay. While the subscription runs, 1 Room Alert includes 1 trip, 3 Room Alerts includes 3 trips, 10 Room Alerts includes 10, and 30 Room Alerts includes 100. If a pass did not do its job, tell us within 14 days and we will refund it in full.
Setting them up for clients. If you add a client’s email or mobile to a trip, you confirm the client has agreed to hear from us about that trip. A client’s mobile gets one text asking them to reply YES, and nothing else unless they do; they can reply STOP at any time. Your name or agency appears on their texts as you set it on your alerts page.
SMS Terms (text alerts)
Resortings room alerts by text is a program from Resortings LLC. It texts subscribers on 1 Room Alert, 3 Room Alerts, 10 Room Alerts or 30 Room Alerts about the Disney resort rooms they have asked us to watch. It also sends booking reminders by text, to anyone who sets a booking reminder and checks the box to get texts, about the dates Disney opens dining and Lightning Lane booking for their trip; a travel agent’s client gets them only after replying YES.
Text alerts are off unless you turn them on. You turn them on by checking a box on your alerts page and giving us a mobile number, which is your consent to be texted about the rooms you are watching: when one comes back, or when its price drops. For a booking reminder, checking the box under the mobile field is your consent to be texted about that trip’s booking windows. We text you about nothing else.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything from us, and it is not part of creating an account or setting up an alert. Agreeing to these terms does not opt you in. Every part of Resortings, alerts included, works the same whether or not you ever give us a number. The only places texts are turned on are the box on your alerts page and the box on a booking reminder.
Reply STOP to any message to stop. Reply HELP for help. For help you can also email alerts@resortings.com. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with how often your rooms come back; a booking reminder sends up to four texts per trip. Turning texts off on your alerts page does the same thing as STOP.
Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. Our privacy policy explains what we keep about your number and that we never sell or share it.
The Savings Finder
Included with every alert plan, for every trip you plan, for as long as your subscription runs. Or buy it once, on its own: one payment, no subscription, no alerts, and it never expires. The price is shown before you pay.
You are getting our working, not an outcome. The figures are what we calculate from Disney’s own prices and our own scores at the moment you look, and they move.
Refunds on the one-off. If it does not work, or it is not what you thought you were buying, tell us within 14 days and we will refund it in full. Use the contact form or email mirwin@resortings.com.
Using the site
Use it for planning trips, as much as you like. Read it, print it, send a link to anyone. That includes trips you plan for other people, as a travel agent or for your own family: the alerts are yours to act on however you like. Two limits apply to everybody: the account is yours and not transferable, and you may not rebuild our data as a product of your own, as the next section says.
What we built, and what you may not take
The figures on this site are our work. The scores and the model behind them, the wait times, the menu prices, the seasonal price curve and the walk and transport times were assembled by us over years. Individual facts are free to quote. You may not copy the collection: the selection, the arrangement, the scoring model and the scores it produces may not be reproduced in substantial part, or rebuilt as a substitute, without a written license from us.
No automated access except as our robots.txt allows. resortings.com/robots.txt is part of these terms. Accessing this site with a crawler, bot, scraper, headless browser or agent contrary to that file is a breach of these terms, and so is disguising what you are to get around it.
AI assistants and search engines are welcome. They may crawl, index, quote, summarize and learn from our public pages, as our robots.txt allows, so they can point people to us. That doesn’t cover bulk copying: our live availability and price data, and the collection described above, may not be extracted to build a dataset, a competing service or a product of your own without a written license from us.
If you want the data, ask. We license it: email mirwin@resortings.com and tell us what you want to use and what for. Everything here besides Disney’s trademarks and third-party product names is ours.
Who may buy
You must be 18 or older to buy a subscription, a booking-alert pass or the Savings Finder. The site is written for adults planning a trip and is not directed at children.
If we have to stop serving you
We can suspend or close an account that is breaking these terms, and we will say why. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your doing, we refund the rest of the month.
What we are liable for
Resortings is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you, we limit it to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem. For most readers that is nothing, because most of this site is free. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses: a trip that cost more than it might have, a room that sold before you reached it, a booking you did not make. Some states do not allow these limits, and where that is so, they do not apply to you.
Where any of this gets settled
These terms are governed by the law of North Carolina, and any dispute goes to the state or federal courts sitting in North Carolina. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms, with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us. You may not transfer your account to someone else; we may transfer this agreement if the business is sold, and we would tell you.
Accessibility
If any part of this site is hard for you to use, tell us through the contact form and we’ll fix it. Say what you were trying to do and what got in the way, and we’ll reply.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
