The short answer

This is the easiest yes on property. The Beach Club is 1st of 32 for pools and 1st of 32 for splash pads and slides, both a full 10, and it's about a 5-minute walk to EPCOT’s International Gateway. Stormalong Bay is a three-acre, sand-bottomed pool with a shipwreck slide, and we think it's the best pool Disney owns. At about $736 a night it isn't cheap, and the case against it is thin: 7.5 out of 10 for things to do, no signature restaurant of its own, and 4 out of 10 for getting to Magic Kingdom.

Book it if: EPCOT or Hollywood Studios is most of your trip, and you want the pool to be a reason to head back to the room in the afternoon.
Skip it if: Magic Kingdom is the center of your week. It scores 4 out of 10 for getting there, and you'd be paying about $736 a night for a location you aren't using.
Compared head to head Beach Club vs Yacht Club

Two halves of one building sharing Stormalong Bay, $9 a night apart. The Yacht Club wins on adults and older kids, the Beach Club on the walk to EPCOT.

Which room to ask for

Rooms open onto internal corridors with elevators throughout, so which floor you get matters less here than at the Values and Moderates. A request costs nothing and is never guaranteed: make it at booking, and again a day or two before you arrive.

Every measure, against the other 30

Disney does not set a height minimum on its resort waterslides, unlike the water parks. Riders go down one at a time and land in water deep enough to swim in, so the question is whether your child swims on their own, not how tall they are.

Rank is out of all 32 Disney resorts on that one measure. The park rows show the fastest route Disney actually runs, so a bus and a monorail are not scored the same even when the map says they are the same distance.

Where it wins

Our favorite pool on propertyStormalong Bay: three acres, a sand bottom, a lazy river and a slide through a shipwreck, shared with the Yacht Club and open only to guests of the two. Nothing else on property comes close.
Tied for the best splash pads and slides on propertyTied for the highest with eight others, and the only one of them that also has the top pool. The average is 7.6 out of 10.
About 5 minutes to EPCOTThe shortest resort-to-park walk Disney has, through the International Gateway at the back of World Showcase. It scores 10 out of 10, the highest for EPCOT of any resort.
A boat and a walk to Hollywood StudiosTwo parks with no bus. The boat scores 6, and the canal walk takes about 26 minutes if you'd rather stretch your legs.

Where it loses

The pool is doing all the workAround the average of 7.2 out of 10 and no more. Beyond the pool there's a small arcade, boat rentals, tennis and a spa.
No signature restaurantBeaches & Cream and Cape May Cafe, and that's it unless you walk to the Yacht Club or the BoardWalk. The site average is 0.4 signature restaurants, and this has none.
Magic Kingdom is a slow busIt's a bus, and a slow one. If Magic Kingdom is more than a day or two of your trip, this is the wrong end of the property.
About $736 a nightRoughly $190 above the property average, and the Villas next door average about $836 for the same pool.

What it costs

About $736 a night on average, roughly $190 above the property average. Beach Club Villas share Stormalong Bay and the walk and average about $836, so unlike most resorts here, the villa is the pricier option, not the cheaper one.

Across 53 check-in weeks, a night here ranged from $616 to $1033, a swing of 68%. The cheapest week checked in on August 16, 2027 and the priciest on December 28, 2026.

Room only, before tax, for a four night midweek stay for two adults, read from Disney on September 27, 2026.

What Stormalong Bay is really like

Stormalong Bay is gated and wristbanded, and Disney checks. That's why it stays usable in August while other Deluxe pools fill up with guests from other resorts.

The sand bottom is real sand, and it gets into everything. It's also why little kids treat it like a beach instead of a pool, which is most of the reason the splash pad score is a 10.

The International Gateway drops you into World Showcase between France and the United Kingdom. That's the right end of EPCOT for dinner and the wrong end for rope drop, so a morning at Test Track means a long walk across the park.

The lazy river is short and the slide has a line by mid-morning. The pool is great because of its size and its sandy bottom, not the water features.

Your family will rank this differently

Ages, budget, room size and which parks you are doing all change the answer. Resortings scores all 32 resorts against what your family actually needs, and tells you when not to spend the money.

Common questions

Who is the Beach Club best for?

If EPCOT or Hollywood Studios is most of your trip, yes, more clearly than almost any resort we score. It ranks 1st of 32 for pools and 1st for splash pads and slides, both a full 10, and it's a 5-minute walk to EPCOT. If Magic Kingdom is the center of your week, no: it scores 4 out of 10 for getting there.

Beach Club or Yacht Club?

They share Stormalong Bay, the walk and the price range, so it comes down to feel. The Beach Club is pastel and made for families, and the Yacht Club is darker and quieter, with a signature restaurant. The Yacht Club scores 8 for ages 7 to 13 against the Beach Club’s 7, and averages about $745 against $736.

How long is the walk from the Beach Club to EPCOT?

About 5 minutes to the International Gateway, the shortest resort-to-park walk on property. It scores 10 out of 10 for EPCOT, and no resort beats it, ahead of the Yacht Club at 9 and the BoardWalk at 8.

Can you use Stormalong Bay if you aren't staying there?

No. It's wristbanded for Beach Club, Beach Club Villas and Yacht Club guests, and Disney checks. That's a big part of what makes it worth the room rate.

Is the Beach Club good for older kids?

Pretty good. It sits in the middle of the 32 for ages 7 to 13, above the average of 6.2 out of 10, and that's almost all thanks to the pool. The Yacht Club scores a point higher for the same money.
