How Disney hotel availability alerts work

Disney resorts sell out, and then rooms come back, mostly when people cancel ahead of Disney's own refund deadlines. The catch is that nobody tells you. Disney's site only shows what's open at the moment you search. So tell us the resort, your dates, your party and the room you want, or say any room will do, and we'll email you when one becomes bookable (or text you, on a paid plan), with a link to book it with Disney.

  1. Pick the resort and your dates. Add your party so we only tell you about rooms that fit everyone.
  2. Choose a room, or any room. Watch one room type, several, or the whole resort. Flexible on arrival day? Watch nearby dates too.
  3. Book it with Disney. Our email or text has the room, the price and the link. You book directly; we never touch your reservation.

How fast a room goes once it's back

From September 11, 2026 to October 6, 2026 we saw 72 sold-out rooms come back across 11 resorts. Of the ones we also saw sell out again, half were gone within 70 minutes, and 22 of 44 lasted an hour or less. That's why an email beats checking when you remember to. How to get a sold-out Disney World room has the full numbers.

What you can watch

  • A sold-out resort. Any room at all, for your exact dates.
  • One room type. The studio, the 2-bedroom villa, the room with the view you wanted.
  • A lower price. A room you've booked, or one you're eyeing, below a price you set.
  • Nearby dates. The same length of stay with a different check-in day, for when your exact dates are gone.

Room alerts by resort

Each page lists the resort's room types and what each one sleeps. The Disney World pages also show what the resort costs across the year and how we score it.

Walt Disney World

Disneyland, Aulani, Vero Beach and Hilton Head

What it costs

A Room Alert is one payment, from $19.99. It watches one resort for your dates until check-in and emails or texts you every time a room comes back. Nothing renews. Another resort or other dates is another alert.

Common questions

Can I get an alert when a sold-out Disney hotel room opens up?

Yes. Pick the resort, your dates and your party, then choose a room type or say any room will do. When one becomes bookable, we email you with the room, the price and a link to book it on Disney's own site, and text you too if you add your mobile.

Does Disney tell you when a sold-out room comes back?

No. Disney's site shows what's bookable when you search, and that's it. There's no waitlist for resort rooms, which is why people end up refreshing the page.

Do you book the room for me?

No. An alert tells you a room was there when we looked. It doesn't hold or book anything. You book directly with Disney, and the room is yours the moment you do.

Do I need to give you my Disney account or password?

Never. Alerts work from the same public availability anyone can search, so there's nothing to sign in to and nothing of yours to hand over.

I've already booked. Can I watch for a lower price?

Yes. Set a price alert on your room and dates, and we email or text you when it drops below the number you pick, so you can rebook at the lower price.

Which resorts can I watch?

Every Disney resort in the US: all 32 Walt Disney World resorts, the Disneyland hotels, Aulani, Vero Beach and Hilton Head.

How much does it cost?

A Room Alert is one payment, from $19.99, and it watches one resort for your dates until check-in. Nothing renews. Travel agents can watch 30 stays at once on a monthly plan.
