The short answer

These are the cheapest rooms Disney rents, from about $170 a night, and the scores are what you'd expect at that price. All three sit near the bottom of all 32 for pools, for every age group and for adults.

What they do have is a really short bus ride to Animal Kingdom, at 6 out of 10, which beats most Moderates and several Deluxes. They're a place to sleep between park days, and they're priced honestly for it. Music is the only one of the three with family suites that sleep six.

Book it if: you'll be in the parks from opening to close, the room is just somewhere to sleep, and you'd rather spend the money on tickets.
Skip it if: anyone wants to spend an afternoon at the resort. These rank near the bottom of all 32 for pools, splash pads and every age group.

Which room to ask for

Rooms open to the outside rather than onto an internal corridor. Rooms sit in several buildings off a central hall, so the difference between the nearest and the furthest is a real walk with tired children. A request costs nothing and is never guaranteed, so make it at booking and again a day or two before you arrive.

Everyone Ask for a building near the main hall. The All-Stars are laid out as long fingers off a central building and the far ends are a real walk to the bus and the food court.
With a stroller Ask for a ground-floor room. The doors open to the outside, so anything above the ground floor means carrying the stroller up and down every time you leave.
With a mobility need Ask for a ground-floor room close to the bus stop, and confirm the building has an elevator before you arrive.

Rank is out of all 32 Disney resorts on that one measure. The park rows show the fastest route Disney actually runs, so a bus and a monorail are not scored the same even when the map says they are the same distance.

Where it wins

The cheapest rooms Disney rentsSports from about $170, Music about $183, Movies about $184. Only the Fort Wilderness campsites cost less, and those are a patch of ground.
A short bus ride to Animal KingdomSix out of 10, better than most Moderates and better than every Deluxe except Animal Kingdom Lodge and its villas.
Music has family suites that sleep sixThe cheapest room on property that sleeps six, other than a campsite. It ran $384 to $470 a night on the 2027 dates we checked with Disney on October 8, 2026, about $140 a night less than an Art of Animation suite on average.
They're honest about what they areOne food court, one bar, big pools, big theming. Nothing here pretends to be a resort you hang out at.

Where it loses

Near the bottom for every age groupUnder-fours 28th, four to six 29th, ages 7 to 13 28th, adults 27th. There's no age it really suits.
The pools are weakSports is tied for the worst pool of all 32, and Music and Sports tie for the worst splash pads. Movies is a little better, but still below average.
No sit-down restaurant at any of the threeOne food court each, and one bar. Every sit-down meal is somewhere else.
Buses are shared between the three at quiet timesThat adds stops, and it means a bus can show up already full.

What it costs

Sports from about $170, Music about $183 and Movies about $184. Pop Century, at about $238, costs about $50 more and has a Skyliner station, which is the biggest single upgrade in the Value tier.

Which of the three, and what to expect

Sports is the cheapest and has the weakest pool of all 32. Movies scores best of the three for pools and splash pads. Music is the only one with suites that sleep six.

The theming is huge, and that's the point. A three-year-old cares more about a giant football helmet than thread count, and these resorts know it.

For about $50 a night more, Pop Century adds a Skyliner station reaching EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Over a week, that's about $350 more for a way to two parks that isn't a bus.

Rooms sleep four at all three, except Music's family suites. Five people means Music, Art of Animation, or a different tier entirely.

Your family will rank this differently

Ages, budget, room size and which parks you are doing all change the answer. Resortings scores all 32 resorts against what your family actually needs, and tells you when not to spend the money.
