Who is Pop Century best for?

Disney's Pop Century Resort seen from outside
Average night
$238
Standard room sleeps

Quickest park
EPCOT, by skyliner
Pools
4 / 10

The short answer

Pop Century is worth it for one reason: a Skyliner station on site, reaching EPCOT and Hollywood Studios at 6 out of 10 each. That makes it the cheapest way Disney sells to reach any park without a bus, at about $238 a night. Everything else ranks low: 31st of 32 for pools and 31st of 32 for things to do, and 28th for adults. Book it as a place to sleep between park days, not as somewhere to spend an afternoon.

Book it if: you're doing EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, you'll be in the parks from opening to close, and you'd rather spend the money on tickets.
Skip it if: you plan afternoons at the resort, or your kids are under four. It scores 4 out of 10 for pools and 4 for things to do, both close to the worst on property.

Which room to ask for

Rooms open to the outside rather than onto an internal corridor. Rooms sit in several buildings off a central hall, so the difference between the nearest and the furthest is a real walk with tired children. A request costs nothing and is never guaranteed, so make it at booking and again a day or two before you arrive.

Everyone Ask for the 50s or 60s buildings. The Skyliner station sits at one end of the resort and those are the closest to it, and to Everything Pop.
With a stroller Ask for a ground floor room in the 50s or 60s. The corridors are exterior, and the walk from the far buildings to the Skyliner is long enough to matter twice a day.
With a mobility need Ask for a ground-floor room close to the bus stop, and confirm the building has an elevator before you arrive.

Where it wins

A Skyliner station on siteEPCOT and Hollywood Studios at 6 out of 10 each, with one change at Caribbean Beach. Pop Century and Art of Animation are the only Value resorts that reach any park without a bus.
About $238 a nightRoughly $300 below the property average, and about a third of what the walking resorts cost for the same two parks.
Okay for toddlers, which beats most ValuesMiddle of the pack rather than bad, and better than the Contemporary at three times the price. The theming is big, bright and easy for a little kid to love.
The Skyliner runs continuouslyThere's no schedule, so you're never waiting 20 minutes for the next one, and over a week that's worth more than the score gap with a boat suggests.

Where it loses

Tied for worst pools on propertyTied for last with All-Star Sports: three pools, no slide, and a splash area a toddler will be done with in 10 minutes.
Tied for worst for things to doTied for last with Caribbean Beach: a jogging trail, a playground, one arcade and movies. There's really nothing to do here.
Almost nothing for adultsOne bar, one food court, and no sit-down restaurant at all. The site average for sit-down restaurants is 1.8 table-service restaurants.
Rooms sleep fourThey're small, and four is the limit. Art of Animation next door, on the same Skyliner line, has family suites that sleep six, though a suite costs a lot more than its $281 average.

What it costs

About $238 a night on average, roughly $300 below the property average. Art of Animation is on the same Skyliner line at about $281 on average and scores 7 against Pop Century’s 4 for things to do, which makes the extra $43 the best-value upgrade in the Value tier. Its family suites sleep six, but they cost far more than that average.

Across 53 check-in weeks, a night here ranged from $199 to $359, a swing of 81%. The cheapest week checked in on January 4, 2027 and the priciest on December 28, 2026.

Room only, before tax, for a four night midweek stay for two adults, read from Disney on September 27, 2026.

What Pop Century is really like

The Skyliner station is at the far end of the resort from most rooms, so the walk there is a real part of the trip. If the Skyliner is why you're here, ask for a building in the 50s or 60s section.

You change at Caribbean Beach for EPCOT, which means getting off, crossing a platform and joining a second line. Caribbean Beach scores 9 because it skips that step, and Pop Century scores 6 because it doesn't.

The Skyliner starts an hour before early entry and keeps running until 90 minutes after EPCOT or Hollywood Studios closes, so it covers the early mornings and the trip back after the fireworks.

The food court is the only food. There's no sit-down restaurant, no second option and nowhere to sit with a drink, which is fine for a week of rope drops and gets old on a rest day.

The walls are thin and the rooms are small, which is just how the Value tier works, not a flaw. It's the trade-off for the price and the Skyliner.

Your family will rank this differently

Ages, budget, room size and which parks you are doing all change the answer. Resortings scores all 32 resorts against what your family actually needs, and tells you when not to spend the money.

Common questions

Who is Pop Century best for?

As a cheap bed with a Skyliner station, yes, and it's the cheapest way onto a non-bus route to any park. As a resort, no: it ranks 31st of 32 for pools and 31st for things to do. It's worth it if you'll be in the parks all day, and not if you won't.

Pop Century or Art of Animation?

Art of Animation, for about $43 a night more on average. Same Skyliner line, same park scores, but it scores 7 for things to do against Pop Century’s 4 and is much better for kids 4 to 6. Its family suites sleep six instead of four, though a suite costs well above that average. Pop Century only wins on price.

Does the Skyliner go straight to EPCOT from Pop Century?

No. It changes at Caribbean Beach, which is the hub. That change is the whole reason Pop Century scores 6 for EPCOT while Caribbean Beach scores 9 on the same system.

Is Pop Century good for toddlers?

It's okay. It sits in the middle of the 32 for under-fours, mostly because the theming is huge and bright. The pools score 4, tied for worst on property, so afternoons there are thin.

What is the cheapest Disney resort with good transport?

Pop Century, at about $238 a night, with a Skyliner station on site. Nothing cheaper reaches any park without a bus, and the other Skyliner resorts cost more.
