The short answer

The family suites sleep six, with two bathrooms, and they're the cheapest room for six on the Skyliner. They ran $537 to $623 a night on the 2027 dates we checked with Disney on October 8, 2026. All-Star Music's family suites averaged about $140 a night cheaper on the same dates, but every trip from there is a bus. For a family of five or six with young kids, you won't find a suite and a Skyliner station together anywhere else at this price.

The trade-off is big, though. It ranks 27th of all 32 for adults and 26th for kids 7 to 13. The theming that makes a five-year-old's day reads as a lot of noise to a thirteen-year-old, and there's no sit-down restaurant anywhere on site.

Book it if: you're a group of five or six, your kids are young enough for the theming to land, and EPCOT or Hollywood Studios is on the plan.
Skip it if: your kids are older, or it's an adults trip. It ranks near the bottom of all 32 for both.
Compared head to head Art of Animation vs Pop Century

Two Value resorts sharing a Skyliner station. Art of Animation sleeps six and has more to do; Pop Century costs about $40 a night less.

Which room to ask for

Room access differs by building here, so which one you get matters more than usual. Rooms sit in several buildings off a central hall, so the difference between the nearest and the furthest is a real walk with tired children. A request costs nothing and is never guaranteed, so make it at booking and again a day or two before you arrive.

Everyone The Cars courtyard is the furthest from the lobby, the Skyliner and the food, and it is the most requested because of the theming. Finding Nemo is the closest. Decide which of those you actually want before you book.
With young children Ask for Finding Nemo. It is nearest to the Big Blue pool and to Landscape of Flavors, and the walk from Cars with a tired child is a genuine complaint.
With a stroller Ask for a ground-floor room. The doors open to the outside, so anything above the ground floor means carrying the stroller up and down every time you leave.
With a mobility need Ask for a ground-floor room close to the bus stop, and confirm the building has an elevator before you arrive.

The family suites have interior entrances and two bathrooms. The Little Mermaid rooms are standard Value rooms with exterior doors and one bathroom, and they are a different product sold under the same resort name.

Where it wins

Family suites that really sleep sixA separate bedroom, a pull-down bed, a kitchenette and two bathrooms, and the cheapest room for six on the Skyliner. All-Star Music's family suites, which also sleep six, cost less but come with a bus.
A Skyliner station on siteEPCOT and Hollywood Studios at 6 out of 10 each, with one change at Caribbean Beach. Only three other resorts under $350 reach any park without a bus.
Tied for first for four-to-six-year-oldsThe Cars, Nemo and Lion King courtyards are built at kid height, and the Big Blue pool is the largest at any Value resort.
More to do than a Value usually hasAround the property average, which is rare at this price. The All-Stars and Pop Century are well below it.

Where it loses

Almost nothing for adults27th of 32: one food court, one bar, no sit-down restaurant, and theming aimed at a six-year-old.
Older kids run out of things to do26th of 32 for ages 7 to 13. There's no slide complex, and nothing a twelve-year-old wants to be seen enjoying.
The pool is weak for the priceBelow the property average. Big Blue is big and shallow, which is perfect for toddlers and dull for everyone else.
The Little Mermaid rooms only sleep fourThey're also the furthest from the Skyliner and the food court, and they're what you get if you book the cheapest rate.

What it costs

About $281 a night on average, which mixes the Little Mermaid standard rooms with the suites, so a suite costs well above it. Pop Century next door is about $238 and sleeps four on the same Skyliner line, so two Pop Century rooms usually cost less than one suite here. What the suite buys is one door, two bathrooms, a kitchenette and a much better score for four-to-six-year-olds.

Across 53 check-in weeks, a night here ranged from $236 to $388, a swing of 64%. The cheapest week checked in on January 4, 2027 and the priciest on December 28, 2026.

Room only, before tax, for a four night midweek stay for two adults, read from Disney on September 27, 2026.

What Art of Animation is really like

The suites are the whole point. A door between the parents and the kids on a Disney budget is worth more by day four than any theming.

The family suites have two bathrooms, which is what people actually rave about afterward and why they cost what they do. The Little Mermaid rooms are standard Value rooms with one bathroom and no separate bedroom, so they're a different product under the same resort name, and most complaints about the price are about those, not the suites.

You change at Caribbean Beach for both parks, which adds 5 to 10 minutes each way compared with staying at the hub itself.

The Cars courtyard is the furthest from everything and the most popular, so families walk a long way to a room they picked from a photo.

Landscape of Flavors is a better food court than the Value tier usually gets, which matters when it's the only food on site.

Your family will rank this differently

Ages, budget, room size and which parks you are doing all change the answer. Resortings scores all 32 resorts against what your family actually needs, and tells you when not to spend the money.
