The short answer
For adults, this is the best-value resort on property, and it isn't close. Coronado Springs ranks 1st of 32 for adults, level with the Grand Floridian and the BoardWalk, and it costs about $311 a night against their $878 and $713. It also ranks 3rd of 32 for things to do and has four sit-down restaurants and four bars, which is more dining than most Deluxes. The catch is location: it scores 3 out of 10 for Magic Kingdom and 4 for EPCOT, so every park except Animal Kingdom is a long bus ride.
Two top Moderates about $30 apart. Caribbean Beach wins on the Skyliner and splash pads, Coronado Springs on things to do, dining and adults.

Your ages, budget and parks re-rank all 32. Free, about a minute.Which room to ask for
Room access differs by building here, so which one you get matters more than usual. This is a spread-out resort. Rooms are in separate sections away from the main dining and the main pool, far enough that an internal bus exists, so which section you land in changes the stay more than the room does. A request costs nothing and is never guaranteed, so make it at booking and again a day or two before you arrive.
Every measure, against the other 30
Disney does not set a height minimum on its resort waterslides, unlike the water parks. Riders go down one at a time and land in water deep enough to swim in, so the question is whether your child swims on their own, not how tall they are.
| Scored category | This resort | Average of all 32 | Rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pools | 8 / 10 | 7.1 | 7th of 32 |
| Splash pads and slides | 7 / 10 | 7.6 | 19th of 32 |
| Everything close together | 3 / 10 | 6.0 | 26th of 32 |
| Things to do on site | 9 / 10 | 7.2 | 3rd of 32 |
| Suits under 4s | 8 / 10 | 7.8 | 16th of 32 |
| Suits ages 4 to 6 | 8 / 10 | 7.8 | 14th of 32 |
| Suits ages 7 to 13 | 7 / 10 | 6.2 | 8th of 32 |
| Suits adults | 8 / 10 | 5.5 | 1st of 32 |
| Getting to Magic Kingdom · bus | 3 / 10 | 5.5 | – |
| Getting to EPCOT · bus | 4 / 10 | 5.5 | – |
| Getting to Hollywood Studios · bus | 5 / 10 | 4.5 | – |
| Getting to Animal Kingdom · bus | 6 / 10 | 4.0 | – |
Rank is out of all 32 Disney resorts on that one measure. The park rows show the fastest route Disney actually runs, so a bus and a monorail are not scored the same even when the map says they are the same distance.

Where it loses
What it costs
About $311 a night on average, roughly $230 below the property average and squarely Moderate. For adults, this is the best value on property: the next cheapest resort that matches it for adults costs about $506 a night.
Across 53 check-in weeks, a night here ranged from $275 to $418, a swing of 52%. The cheapest week checked in on January 4, 2027 and the priciest on December 28, 2026.
Room only, before tax, for a four night midweek stay for two adults, read from Disney on September 27, 2026.
What Coronado Springs is really like
Gran Destino Tower changed the resort. It's newer, taller and quieter than the villages, and the Dahlia Lounge on the fifteenth floor is the only rooftop bar on property outside the Contemporary. If you're booking for the adults, book the tower.
The convention center is big, and the resort fills up with name badges several times a year. Ask when you book, because a convention week turns a quiet Moderate into a busy business hotel.
The Dig Site pool is the one with the slide and the Mayan pyramid, and it's a long way from the tower. The tower has its own quieter pool, which is the trade-off for being in the nicer building.
Every park is a bus, and the buses are shared between the villages, so the first stop isn't always yours. Give yourself 10 extra minutes for rope drop.
Your family will rank this differently
Ages, budget, room size and which parks you are doing all change the answer. Resortings scores all 32 resorts against what your family actually needs, and tells you when not to spend the money.

Common questions
Who is Coronado Springs best for?
For adults and older kids, it's the best value on property. It ranks 1st of 32 for adults at about $311 a night, tied with resorts costing up to $878. For a family built around Magic Kingdom it's a poor pick, because it scores 3 out of 10 for getting there.
Is Coronado Springs a good Moderate?
It's the strongest Moderate we score on almost everything except transport. Things to do is 9 against Caribbean Beach's 4, four sit-down restaurants against one, and four bars against one. Caribbean Beach only beats it on getting to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, where the Skyliner makes it 9 against 4 and 5.
Should I book Gran Destino Tower?
If you're booking for the adults, yes. It's newer and quieter than the villages, it has the rooftop lounge, and it's closest to the restaurants. The villages are cheaper and further from everything.
Is Coronado Springs good for young kids?
Better than its reputation. It's strong for under-fours and for four-to-six-year-olds, and the Dig Site pool has a slide and a playground. But it's the older kids and the adults who do best here.
How far is Coronado Springs from the parks?
Animal Kingdom is closest at 6 out of 10, about 6 minutes by road. Hollywood Studios is 5, EPCOT 4 and Magic Kingdom 3, which is about 25 minutes. Every one of them is a bus.
