Hollywood Studios. Every resort on this page is scored on how long it takes to get here.

Which Disney resort is closest to Hollywood Studios?

The BoardWalk Inn is the closest Disney resort to Hollywood Studios: a 17-minute walk along the canal. Would you rather ride? Caribbean Beach has the best Skyliner trip, straight from its own station with no change, and it scores 9 out of 10, the highest of any resort. On a budget, Pop Century is on the same Skyliner line for about $238 a night.

Nine Disney resorts get you to Hollywood Studios without a bus, and the best of them isn't even a Deluxe. Caribbean Beach scores 9 out of 10 because it's the Skyliner hub: the Hollywood Studios gondola leaves from its own station, no change needed. The Riviera, Pop Century and Art of Animation ride the Skyliner too, with one change at Caribbean Beach, and they all score 6. Then there are the five EPCOT-area resorts, also scoring 6: the Beach Club, its villas and the Yacht Club by boat, and the BoardWalk Inn and its villas on foot. The canal path is 17 minutes from the BoardWalk, 23 from the Yacht Club and 26 from the Beach Club, and most guests never even try it.

The three picks, and who each suits

Caribbean Beach, the best way to Hollywood Studios

Moderate · on average $338 a night · sleeps 5 · skyliner to Hollywood Studios
GoodIt scores 9 out of 10, higher than every Deluxe. It's the Skyliner hub, so the Hollywood Studios and EPCOT gondolas both leave from its own station with no change, and EPCOT scores 9 too. At about $338 a night, that's Moderate pricing for the best park transport of any resort off the monorail.
Less goodThere isn't much to do on site: 4 out of 10 against an average of 7.1 out of 10, with one sit-down restaurant and one bar. It's also big and spread out, so the walk to your room can be a long one.

Who this suits best: families doing mostly Hollywood Studios and EPCOT who want great transport without the Deluxe price.
Dining on siteSebastian’s Bistro is the one sit-down restaurant, plus Centertown Market for counter service and one bar. Not a lot for a resort this size.
What there is to do on siteScores 4 out of 10. Pools with a pirate-themed slide, a campfire, movies under the stars, fishing, volleyball, a jogging trail and a playground.

The BoardWalk, if you want to walk to two parks

Deluxe · on average $713 a night · sleeps 5 · walk to Hollywood Studios
GoodA boat to Hollywood Studios and an 8-minute walk to EPCOT, so two of the four parks mean no bus and no line. The BoardWalk itself is right outside, with four counter-service spots and four bars you can reach without leaving the resort. It scores 8 for adults.
Less goodIt's about $713 a night, the splash pads score below the Beach Club next door, and the pool is pretty ordinary for a Deluxe. You're paying for the location and the boardwalk, not the resort itself.

What there is to do on siteScores 7 out of 10. Mini golf, surrey bike rentals, fishing, tennis and pickleball, a playground, an arcade, and a spa and fitness center.

Art of Animation, the cheapest room for six on the Skyliner

Value · on average $281 a night · sleeps 4 · skyliner to Hollywood Studios
GoodA family suite that sleeps six, at $537 to $623 a night on the 2027 dates we checked with Disney on October 8, 2026, with a Skyliner station right on site for Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, scoring 6 each. It scores 9 for four-to-six-year-olds, the highest of any Value resort, and things to do scores 7, which is average instead of the usual Value 4.
Less goodYou change at Caribbean Beach on the way to either park, so it's slower than the hub. There's no sit-down restaurant, and the standard rooms in the Little Mermaid wing sleep four, not six.

How the Resortings score works

Every resort is scored out of ten on how it reaches each park, using the fastest route Disney actually runs: a walk, the monorail, the Skyliner, a boat or a bus. The number is the route, not the distance on a map, because a resort a mile away on a bus is further in practice than one two miles away on a monorail. Nobody pays to appear here and we take no booking commissions.

What the Skyliner and the boat are really like

Caribbean Beach is the hub, and that's the whole reason it scores 9. Every other Skyliner resort changes there, which means getting off, walking across the platform and joining a second line. From Caribbean Beach you get on once and get off at the park.

The Skyliner starts an hour before early entry, so early mornings are covered. Early entry is included for every Disney resort guest, every day of your stay, and the Skyliner keeps running until 90 minutes after EPCOT or Hollywood Studios closes.

The Friendship boats from the EPCOT resorts to Hollywood Studios are slow, about 20 minutes with the stops, while the walk along the same canal is 17 minutes from the BoardWalk and 26 from the Beach Club. On a hot afternoon, the breeze on the boat is worth the wait. On a cool evening the walk is faster and prettier, and hardly anyone does it.

Hollywood Studios is where booking the famous Magic Kingdom resorts hurts the most. The Contemporary, the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian all score 3 out of 10 here. That's between about $663 and $878 a night to stand in a bus line.

This page ranks resorts on how fast they get you to Hollywood Studios specifically. It's rarely a family’s only park, and it's usually the one people spend the fewest days at, so planning your whole trip around it is usually a mistake. Score all 32 against your real park list instead, and use this page for this one question.

Your family will rank these differently

Ages, budget, room size and which parks you are doing all change the order. Resortings scores all 32 resorts against what your family actually needs, and tells you when not to spend the money.

Common questions

Which Disney resorts are near Hollywood Studios?

Nine are close enough to skip the bus: the four Skyliner resorts and the five EPCOT-area resorts that get there by boat or on foot. Our pick is Caribbean Beach, and it's a Moderate, not a Deluxe.

What is the closest Disney resort to Hollywood Studios?

On foot, the BoardWalk Inn: it's a 17-minute walk along the canal. By ride, Caribbean Beach, which scores 9 out of 10, because the Hollywood Studios Skyliner leaves from its own station with no change.

Can you walk to Hollywood Studios from any Disney resort?

Yes, from five of them, though Disney treats the boat as the official route. The Beach Club, Beach Club Villas, Yacht Club, BoardWalk Inn and BoardWalk Villas all sit on the canal that runs to the Hollywood Studios entrance. It's 17 minutes from the BoardWalk, 23 from the Yacht Club and 26 from the Beach Club. The path is flat, paved and lit, and it's usually quicker than waiting for the boat.

What is the cheapest resort near Hollywood Studios?

Pop Century, at about $238 a night, with Art of Animation at about $281 on the same Skyliner line. Both score 6 out of 10 and both change at Caribbean Beach on the way. They're the only Value resorts on property that reach any park without a bus.

Is the Skyliner worth it for Hollywood Studios?

From Caribbean Beach, absolutely: there's no change and it scores 9. From Pop Century, Art of Animation and the Riviera it's a 6, which beats a bus, but not by much once you count the change at the hub. The best part is that it runs continuously, so you're never waiting 20 minutes for the next one.

Do the monorail resorts reach Hollywood Studios?

Only by bus, and they score just 3 out of 10 for it, the worst of any group. The monorail doesn't go anywhere near Hollywood Studios, so if it's a big part of your trip, the monorail resorts are the priciest way to get there.

What are the Hollywood Studios area resorts?

Nine resorts get you to Hollywood Studios without a bus. The Skyliner serves Caribbean Beach, the Riviera, Pop Century and Art of Animation. The EPCOT-area resorts get there on foot or by boat: the BoardWalk Inn and BoardWalk Villas are closest at a 17-minute walk, then the Yacht Club at 23 and the Beach Club and its villas at 26.
