The short answer

The Yacht Club is the quieter half of our favorite pool on property, and it beats its neighbor at the thing people forget to check. It ties for first of all 32 for pools and for splash pads and slides thanks to Stormalong Bay, it's a 6-minute walk to EPCOT, and it beats the Beach Club for ages 7 to 13.

It also has a signature restaurant the Beach Club doesn't, and a darker, more grown-up feel. At about $745 a night it costs about the same as the Beach Club, so choosing between them is about feel, not money.

Book it if: EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are most of the trip, you want the pool to be a reason to head back at lunchtime, and you have older kids or none.
Skip it if: Magic Kingdom is the center of your week. It scores 4 out of 10 for getting there, and you'd be paying about $745 a night for a location you aren't using.
Compared head to head Beach Club vs Yacht Club

Two halves of one building sharing Stormalong Bay, $9 a night apart. The Yacht Club wins on adults and older kids, the Beach Club on the walk to EPCOT.

Which room to ask for

Rooms open onto internal corridors with elevators throughout, so which floor you get matters less here than at the Values and Moderates. A request costs nothing and is never guaranteed: make it at booking, and again a day or two before you arrive.

Every measure, against the other 30

Disney does not set a height minimum on its resort waterslides, unlike the water parks. Riders go down one at a time and land in water deep enough to swim in, so the question is whether your child swims on their own, not how tall they are.

Where it wins

Tied for best pool on propertyStormalong Bay: three acres, a sand bottom, a lazy river and a slide through a shipwreck, open only to guests of this resort and the Beach Club.
About 6 minutes on foot to EPCOTThrough the International Gateway at the back of World Showcase, plus a boat or a 23-minute walk to Hollywood Studios. Two parks, no bus.
Better than the Beach Club for older kidsIt scores higher than the Beach Club for ages 7 to 13, with the same pool, in a resort that doesn't feel like it was decorated for a five-year-old.
Yachtsman SteakhouseA real signature restaurant, which the Beach Club next door doesn't have, plus Ale and Compass and three bars.

Where it loses

Magic Kingdom is a slow busFour out of 10, the same problem the whole EPCOT resort area has. One or two Magic Kingdom days is fine, but a week built around it isn't.
About $745 a nightRoughly $200 above the property average, and the Beach Club is a few dollars less for the same pool.
Not much to do beyond the poolAround average: boat rentals, tennis, volleyball, an arcade and a spa. Stormalong Bay is carrying the resort.
It's quieter, which cuts both waysThe feel that makes it good for adults makes it duller for a four-year-old, who won't notice any difference from the Beach Club anyway.

What it costs

About $745 a night on average. The Beach Club shares Stormalong Bay and the same walk at about $736, and Beach Club Villas at about $836. Of the three, the Yacht Club is the one with a signature restaurant.

Across 53 check-in weeks, a night here ranged from $614 to $1012, a swing of 65%. The cheapest week checked in on August 16, 2027 and the priciest on December 28, 2026.

Room only, before tax, for a four night midweek stay for two adults, read from Disney on September 27, 2026.

What Stormalong Bay is really like

It's wristbanded, and Disney checks. That's why it stays usable in August, when other Deluxe pools fill up with people who aren't staying there.

The sand bottom is real sand, and it gets everywhere. It's also why little kids treat it like a beach instead of a pool.

The Yacht Club side is the quiet end. Same water, fewer strollers, and a slightly longer walk to the slide, which nudges families toward the Beach Club without anyone saying a word.

The International Gateway drops you into World Showcase between France and the United Kingdom: the right end of EPCOT for dinner, the wrong end for rope drop.

Your family will rank this differently

Ages, budget, room size and which parks you are doing all change the answer. Resortings scores all 32 resorts against what your family actually needs, and tells you when not to spend the money.

Common questions

Who is the Yacht Club best for?

Families doing EPCOT and Hollywood Studios who want our favorite pool on property and have older kids. It ties for first of all 32 for pools and for splash pads, and sits above average for ages 7 to 13.

Yacht Club or Beach Club?

They share Stormalong Bay, the walk to EPCOT and the price range. The Yacht Club has a signature restaurant and scores better for ages 7 to 13, while the Beach Club is a few dollars cheaper and a little closer to the gate. It comes down to feel, not value.

How far is the Yacht Club from EPCOT?

About 6 minutes on foot through the International Gateway, scoring 9 out of 10. Only the Beach Club is closer, at about 5 minutes.

Can you use Stormalong Bay as a Yacht Club guest?

Yes. It's shared with the Beach Club and Beach Club Villas, wristbanded for guests of all three, and checked at the entrance.

Is the Yacht Club worth it over a Moderate?

For the pool and two walkable parks, for some families, yes. Caribbean Beach gets to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios almost as well on the Skyliner for about $400 less a night, but its pool is nowhere near this one.
